Izuba, meaning “sun” in Kirundi, is a washing station located in Runinya, Kabarore Commune of Kayanza Province, Burundi, near the Kibira National Park. Managed by Ntama Appolinaire and Prosper Merrimee of RM Burundi, the station benefits from a nearby river that provides essential water for coffee processing. Izuba employs 2 full-time and around 250 seasonal local workers. Its rich soil and favourable climate make it an ideal location for producing high-quality coffee.
