Santuario Sul is a project by producer Luiz Paulo aimed at creating coffees that stay ahead of market trends. His vision for the future is to “always be at the forefront and continue offering exceptional quality!” To achieve this, he is planting and nurturing coffee varieties from diverse regions around the world in pursuit of a unique Brazilian coffee profile. Currently, Luiz Paulo has over 30 different coffee tree varieties planted and meticulously monitored, studying which ones deliver the best results based on the local climate and soil conditions.
SL-28 is known for its exceptional cup quality and high yield. Developed by Scott Agricultural Laboratories in 1931, SL28 was selected from the Tanganyika Drought Resistant variety, which itself traces back to the Bourbon variety. The "SL" stands for Scott Agricultural Laboratories, while the "28" refers to its serial number.
